PTA Volunteer Opportunities within Canyon Creek Elementary

Volunteer Opportunities During the School Day:

Library
Library volunteers help for one to two hour shifts reshelving books and helping organize the book shelves.

Watchdogs
WatchDOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. school. During the day, WatchDOGS may read and work on flash cards with kids, play at recess, eat lunch with their child, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow, mentor students, and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their child(ren), but other students as well.   The kick-off information meeting is scheduled for 9/5 and the new sign up for the school year is coming soon.

Robolab
Robolab teaches 2nd to 5th grade students to consider and solve our world's greatest problems by creating autonomous machines to react to these problems. Volunteers are needed in their own students classroom to help them follow instructions for prepared designs as well as help with creations.
